Di questi tempi si bada al sodo. E' quello che avranno pensato i fratelli gemelli Frank e Patrik Riklin quando hanno deciso di trasformare un vecchio bunker nucleare di Sevelen, nel cantone svizzero di San Gallo, nel primo hotel a zero stelle al mondo.
L'hotel. Nella notte di venerdì quindici ospiti armati di una buona dose di ironia hanno inaugurato l'hotel della compagnia svizzera Afs. E pare che siano rimasti decisamente soddisfatti. Perché l'hotel a zero stelle, oltre ad essere particolarmente economico (trascorrerete una notte a meno di dieci euro a persone) è anche parecchio radical chic: i Riklin, oltre che, a modo loro, alberghieri, sono anche due artisti dell'arredamento. I bagni in comune del bunker, per esempio, sono stati trasformati in una fontana con fiori galleggianti. E, dato che l'albergo manca completamente di finestre trovandosi diversi metri sotto terra, hanno ideato un sistema di maxischermi che trasmettono immagini a colori dall'esterno. Sevelen, comune di poco più di 4 mila abitanti, è anche meta sciistica invernale.
Il bunker era ormai abbandonato per la maggior parte del tempo, eccetto in rare occasioni nelle quali veniva utilizzato per corsi di addestramento di eserciti. E «la manutenzione - dice il sindaco di Sevelen Roman Zogg - costava molto». Così i fratelli Riklin hanno colto l'occasione e, se i cittadini di Sevelen l'11 novembre prossimo approveranno il progetto di finanziamento di 73.600 dollari, le attività commerciali del primo hotel a zero stelle del mondo potranno andare avanti.
Tenendo presente, però, una spiacevole eventualità. In caso di necessità, la legge svizzera prevede che l'hotel, nel giro di 24 ore, sia riconvertito a bunker nucleare.
