Lanciare telefonini il più lontano possibile per liberarsi dalle frustrazioni. Non solo un gesto liberatorio ma un vero e proprio sport. Così almeno viene inteso in Estonia, dove anche quest'anno si è tenuta l'annuale competizione di lancio del telefonino che dura un intero fine settimana e attira turisti da ogni parte del mondo. La gara è aperta a tutti, adulti e bambini e per l'edizione 2008 il risultato migliore è stato quello dell'estone Timmo Lilium che ha lanciato il cellulare a 85 metri, ben lontano però dal record del mondo di 94,47 metri stabilito dal finlandese Mikko Lampi. "Mi sono allenato molto per questa gara - ha detto Lilium - tutti i giorni alle cinque in punto, nello stadio della mia città mi esercito nel lancio del telefonino". Per le donne, il record dell'anno è dell'estone Valeria Kadorova, che ha lanciato il telefonino a 41 metri. Un vero e proprio sport che ha la capacità di far sentire meglio chi lo pratica. "Abbiamo organizzato questa gara perché vogliamo liberare le persone dalle frustrazioni dei cellulari - ha detto Christine Lund, organizzatrice del torneo -. Li amiamo e li odiamo e a volte non vogliamo essere sempre reperibili, gettarli via è una sorta di liberazione". Il peso dei cellulari ammessi alla gara varia dai 220 ai 400 grammi. Alla fine delle gare, gli organizzatori pensano anche a riciclare i telefonini "perché il loro smaltimento è un problema" ha concluso Christine Lund.
